The Moon in Scorpio is in its fall or detriment in this sign.  The emotions of this moon feels everything, intensely.  The moon represents our mother, and tribal lineage, nurturer, protector, and provider.

Many centuries of patriarchal betrayal, and oppression of this feminine moon led to the mysteries of the loss of healing energies of healers, medicine women, and witch hunts that caused the soul of this moon to fester, which evolved into negative feelings of grief, betrayal, loss, death, bitterness, grief, anger, disappointment, resentment, revenge, loneliness, and fear.  All transformative knowledge was oppressed to the personal realm.  Modern cultures do not honor the feminine.

The Moon in Scorpio is a shamanic moon, an edge walker into the visible and invisible realms, acting as a mediator for the ancestors.  A moon of birth, death, renewal, and pregnant with the tribal lineage of the mother principle, and females with awareness of the dark side is embraced.  This moon is willful, magnetic, and represents powerful generations of females, with life transformative healing abilities.

The women of this powerful moon have lived past lives in old patterns of illusion and crises, creating magic, and without respect.  Scorpio moon women are the edge walkers of archetypal myth that can carry the darkness, and the light of the inner and outer worlds in a powerful, magnetic, and beneficial way that can contribute to many generations.

Healing can occur when the past pain of hurtful actions, and words are acknowledged, understood and transformed.  Channel the arsenal of introspection that resides within this emotionally powerful, and instinctive moon, and become a warrior poet, and mythic edge walker into the magic of future healing.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, and associated with the Death card of the Major Arcana of the Tarot.

Thankyou – I find the idea of ‘edgewalkers’ fascinating. I once wrote a paper offering a psychological model to understand mystical experiences. I called it Value Sensing Transliminality – the ability to cross the ‘limen’ (threshold) but also to come back again and communicate it.

      Thank you for your post!

My Moon is in Scorpio (5th) house, and I strive to understand the mystical, as well as, mythical origins of this particular moon.

It’s ironic that you have written a paper about the “ability to cross the threshold,” and come back again, and communicate the information. Yes, communicate the information through art, music, dream work, writing, etc.

I have studied the “Inner Guide Meditation” by Edwin Steinbrecher for many years. The premise of the meditation is to teach individuals to work with the assistance of the Shadow(s), Inner Guide, and the Archetypes of the natal chart to develop the intuition in order to walk between the outer and inner worlds.

My mentor refers to it as, “perfect how to operate in the outer world from the inner world.”

      It’s fascinating!
